Found Guilty?

A Facebook friend of mine got into a discussion with me about the climate of Christianity today and how it is becoming less and less tolerated.  In various parts of the world its very dangerous to belong to Christ and people pay for it with their lives.  Our own President made sure in these last four years to announce that the United States is not a Christian nation. Prominent and influential atheists like Richard Dawkins don't even bother to hide their ultimate goal and agenda...which is to rid our planet of religious practices and institutions.

I don't think he is suggesting rounding the believing masses up for execution necessarily.  I think he believes he can educate our faith out of us.  But his attitude is becoming a popular one and there may be a day in the not-so-distant future when Christianity and many other religious practices become outlawed.  It wouldn't be the first time.  Daniel found himself enslaved, being asked to bow to an idol in his day and had to get special permission just to observe his dietary laws. Revelation tells us of a coming day when one world government and one religion will be your only choice.  I dare say that one religion won't be Christianity.

So here is my question not only for myself but for you.  If such a day comes in your lifetime that Christianity is outlawed, where your neighbors and co-workers are encouraged to turn in the names of any practicing Christians they know...would you be found guilty?  Would anyone in your circles of life immediately have your face come to mind when thinking about who is practicing this now outlawed faith?  I contend that if you or I are not making anyone's list in the here and now...we won't in this hypothetical future and we are doing something wrong.  Legal or illegal we are called to shine our light into this dark world and those around us should have no doubts as to who we belong to.  I encourage you to be found guilty of loving and following Jesus Christ!
