YOU Hear God's Voice

Its somewhat taboo for a person to claim they hear the voice of God.  Yet I make such claims fairly often and will even go a step further to claim that you hear Him as well.  Yes, that includes the unbeliever.  The only debate is (a) whether or not you give God the credit for the instruction and (b) properly discerning that it was Him and not your own internal voice or that of the enemy.

Obviously guys crashing planes into buildings are listening to a voice but improperly assigning that to God.  But because guys like that exist, just about anyone that says they can hear from God is automatically thought of in the same way.  Let me share two different Scripture references to illustrate my point.

Hebrews 10:16 - This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord.  I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.

Romans 2:14-15 - Indeed when Gentiles, who to not have the law, do by nature the things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law. They show that the requirements of that law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them.

Here we plainly see that the battleground is in the mind and that we have a factory installed program called our conscience from God to help us understand what to do.  That voice that we often depict as an angel on our shoulder calling out in your mind to stop a bad habit or to act out of generosity is quite literally God's voice.  Watch today's video production below for more elaboration.
